Harry, I helped get you elected. I promised and delivered 3 votes from my home on Clyde Bank. I remember the time you spent with me being empathetic. Now I need your help. I suffer from PTSD brought on by a “drive-by” shooting years ago in which a bullet came through my sons bedroom floor and missed him by 2 feet. I live in Loch Raven Village and have now endured 29 nights of relentless fireworks. Nothing is being done. The fireworks come from the same area night after night. The police have done NOTHING. All they have to do is follow the bangs. They start @9 ish and end @Midnightish but in all these days, they do nothing. Please help.

I am writing you to voice my extremely strong opposition to HB1261, HB636 and SB646. As an adult with no criminal record, I find it unacceptable that my government would be so arrogant as to even propose these violations of the rights and freedom of its citizens! These bills, should they become law, would do nothing but turn upstanding, law abiding citizens against the government and into criminals. The facts and statistics tell us that bills like these are not about safety, but about control. I am asking you to vote against these bills and to leave freedom and self -reliance to the citizens, as intended by the founders of this Nation.

    Thank you for your consideration,

    .

    Dear Delegate Harry Bhandari,

It was a great pleasure to meet with you to discuss a House Bill (pending a number) allowing medical assistance to receive supervision and orders from a nurse practitioner. Medical assistances can presently receive orders from a Registered Nurse but not from a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practice Act was written many years ago prior to Nurse Practitioners being granted full authority to practice independently.

By allowing myself, a Family Nurse Practitioner, the legal ability to delegate simple clinic tasks to our medical assistances, we can better care for our patients, keep the flow of the clinic smooth and offer patient satisfaction.

I have been a Nurse since 1987. I am a retired Major in the Army Nurse Corps and have practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for over 22 years. I have been adjunct faculty for many of the graduate Master’s and Doctoral programs in Maryland and South Carolina. I also precept third year medical students during their surgical rotation in my Surgical Clinic. I have enjoyed working to my fullest ability to care for my patients in all of my clinical settings and it is my duty to advocate for the care of all our patients.

My elderly mother and father in law live with me. They receive primary care from a nurse practitioner in my Frederick, MD area. If they need a flu vaccine, urine dip stick, throat swab, the Nurse Practitioner can not delegate this to her medical assistant. This may decrease the number of patients she can see in the day. This greatly effects access to care for all.

Thank you again for your time. Thank you for your service. Teri Marie O’Neil, Family Nurse Practitioner, MAJ, Army Nurse Corps, Ret

I grew up raising yaks and sheep in the deep, peaceful forest mountain of the Rolwaling Valley, Dolakha, Nepal. As a boy I watched, as foreigners would come for adventure and it is there that my keen interested in working in field of tourism and trekking started. Through various jobs I have been fortunate to learn Japanese, English, Hindi and Bengali. In 1988 I started to work in field of tourism as a porter for trekkers in the mountainous regions of Nepal. I made my way up from kitchen staff to trek guide and tour operator, then to trip leader and finally all the way to mountain and rescue guide. Today I am a mountaineer and tour operator with a great purpose.

As my exposure to city life and a global community increased, so did my awareness of conflict in name of politics, religion, caste, gender, social status. I have learned that there is conflict, violence and terrorism all around world. I have come to realize that millions of people loose their lives and suffer because of these conflicts. And this awareness has created my greatest passion, human rights and social justice.

Millions of people have suffered loss because of conflict, including me. Terrorism and violence is at its peak point. We live in a time where there is a lack of trust and friendship. But I believe peace can be achieved through friendship. I know I can make difference. I know I can contribute peace to this world. I believe everyone can make a difference; everyone has a way that they can contribute to peace.

My way is through mountaineering. I know mountaineering is a very good way to spread a message of peace all around the world. It is an effective way to both create friendship and bonding during the climb and to send peace message to all the people. So I have created the first trek dedicated to peace and friendship. I have chosen Mt. Everest because it is a trek known around the world.

I want every country involved in this project. I looked for a symbol from each country that could be used to show their support for the trek of peace and friendship. And what better way to show a country’s support than their national flag. This expedition of peace and friendship will have every country’s flag reach the summit the world highest point of Mt Everest. Each flag will be sent back it’s respective nations with a message of friendship and peace. Each country‘s flag, their symbol of unity and pride will join together with all the other countries at the summit as a symbol peace and friendship.

Like mountain climbing, peace is a great adventure. For our expedition, the mountain and the trek are a metaphor for peace and friendship. Sometimes the climb is a struggle as is peace; sometimes it comes to us with great ease. Like reaching the summit as a crowning achievement, making friends one too, it makes everything in life is more beautiful. The climb will have it challenges but I imagine standing on the summit, looking out across our beautiful world with a circle of friends and the flags of every country, all in the name of peace and friendship.

As the founder of this project, I can honesty say we need assistance. We need people from every country to join in the name of peace and friendship. My climbing team will have no more than 7 members including me. If you would like to assist there be other volunteer will supporting staffs positions.

We invite the rest of the world to join in and take a stand and help us climb to the top of the world for peace.

I am very thankful to all those who want to help.

Re: Cordial Appeal for Diplomatic, Financial and Promotional Publicity Support for the sake of Mt. Everest Expedition for Global Peace and Friendship

    Dear Sir and Madam:

As we are all eyewitness to the present world that it has badly made paralyzed by the terrorism, violence and the various inhuman activities. Each and every individual in his/her community of their societies around the world have been affected of violence and terror directly or indirectly. Today’s human society is looking forward to getting rid of the violence, terrorism to live peacefully. We all agree that we cannot continue our civilizations, social development and mutual understanding ahead without true peace and real friendship. There is impossible to exercise fundamental human rights without true understanding of peace and friendship, and applying it to our everyday life.

So, to stand still for the sake of true peace and real friendship, we have planed and fixed a peace campaign named Mt Everest Expedition for Global Peace and Friendship, and to say ‘NO’ to get rid of terrorism, violence and instability around the world.

It is impossible for mankind to get happiness and progress without true peace and friendship. We would like to remind every individuals living globally that we all need friendship for the peace, and the peace for the development. Just a single person or society can do only a little thing. So we all need to be one for the restoration of peace and friendship, and for the betterment of both mankind and the mother earth. For this reason we are going to welcome the national flags, the national symbols of each and every country around the world to put, and let them fluttering and flying high on the roof of the world—Mt Everest to say YES to peace and friendship.

Hence, as we have our great thought on you for your precious contribution and attachment to this peace campaign, we cordially write this to appeal you and your organization for diplomatic, financial and promotional publicity support to make this campaign of Mt Everest Expedition for Global Peace and Friendship entirely successful.

Regarding this adventurous campaign, we are writing to each and every country in the world through the Nepal located diplomatic commissions, United Nations’ Organization and European Union for international communities’ solidarity for this peace campaign as well.

Should you have any query or any needs of further information in details, please feel free to write us.

We are looking forward to hearing from your side soon. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Phurba Thile Sherpa

I received a mailing brochure from you today. Here is the problem. I live in Harford County, not Baltimore County. I cannot vote for you, Even if I could vote for you, I would not. If you cannot manage your precious campaign resources effectively, by only mailing to Baltimore County Residents: how can you be expected to manage my tax dollars effectively?
